St. Catherine's accepts donations that benefit the people that we serve and to assist other organizations. Material donations can be brought to the Community Ministries office or placed in the basket in the East entrance of the church.
We normally take food, small bottles of water, toiletries, new and very gently used baby items, feminine hygiene products and white tube socks. These items benefit Abiding Love Food Pantry, Gabriel Project, and Mobile Loaves and Fishes, among the many.
We have organizations with specific requests:
Dress for Success needs purses, shoes and jewelry for the women they serve. They can be gently used as long as they are clean and in good repair. 701 Tillery St., Suite 11, Austin · (512) 389-3723
St. Louise House recently emailed that they need new kitchen supplies, like pots, pans, dishes, utensils, silverware, and trash cans. They also need sheets, towels and other small items that are needed to start a home from scratch. Call Mindy at 512-302-0027
For furniture, appliance and other items:
Unfortunately there are some things we cannot accept. Cribs older than 2 years, car seats, appliances, furniture, building supplies and other large items. We work with two organizations that can take these items. In some cases they can help with picking up donations.
