The mission of Growing in Faith Together (GIFT) is to grow in faith through our gifts and connections with each other. St. Catherine of Siena's mission expresses our community's commitment "to live out Christ's great commandments to love God and to love our neighbor as ourselves." The purpose of GIFT is to provide a network for taking our parish's mission to the neighborhoods.
The organization of GIFT is based on five geographic areas, designated as a zip-zone network, which encompass over 3,200 households currently registered in our parish community. Opportunities will be developed within each zip-zone for individuals to connect with each other through the discovery and use of our gifts.
In encouraging the further development of our parish as a caring community, GIFT recognizes our unity within our diversity through parish outreach. It also affirms that all parishioners be given the opportunity to develop a sense of belonging to our parish family. A special effort is made to reach out to new parishioners as well as to currently registered parishioners who are not actively involved.
GIFT also encourages the development of Small Christian Communities, extending an invitation for new members during six-week sessions which are scheduled in the fall and during Lent of each year.
