Our lives don't stand still, and neither do our relationships with God. We are all called to continue to grow and to develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Generations of Faith programming supports families by providing the means to take religion out of the classroom. It offers a chance to experience community and a chance to learn about the faith together. Youth ministry for high school, middle school and elementary offers our young people a chance to build relationships with and within the parish. Religious education classes offer information and expose adults, children and youth to the breadth of spirituality that makes up our Catholic faith. Children’s Liturgy of the Word, helps children to actively understand the Word of God in their own way and in their own language. Retreats offer us a chance to step aside from the daily rush and draw closer to God. Liturgical and religious experiences such as the May Crowning of Mary, Corpus Christi procession, the Blessing of the Animals, observance of the Day of the Dead, the Telling of the Christmas Story, The Passion of Jesus, and Stations of the Cross, reconciliation services within the different age groups, – all of these events draw us into the wonderful richness of Catholic life and devotions. Vacation Bible School, Soccer Bible Camp and similar programming help our young people to understand that the Word of God applies to their lives, that it is not just “Sunday talk”.
How does St. Catherine's help individuals and families to grow in their faith?
Adult Education classes and programs provide opportunities to develop an adult understanding of our faith.
