This year, Christmas is the day after the Fourth Sunday of Advent. So how are we called to meet our holy days of obligation? One is expected to attend a Mass that fulfills the obligation for the Fourth Sunday of Advent and one that fulfills the obligation for Christmas. A Mass can only fulfill one obligation. As we prepare for Easter, there are many activities this week at St. Catherine. On Wed., Mary's Way of the Cross will be held in the church at 11:00 a.m. Holy Thursday Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. On Good Friday, Outdoor Family Stations of the Cross will be held at 10 a.m., the Stations of the Cross will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Church. The Passion Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. On Holy Saturday, we will have the Blessing of the Easter food baskets at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtyard. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on church grounds. The Easter Vigil Mass will be held at 8 p.m. The Parish Offices will be closed Thursday, April 6 through Monday, April 10.
