This workshop is designed to help parents and children adjust to the emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual and practical considerations when beginning a new school year.
Some points to be covered:
Mornings: The "Hurry UP!" syndrome of many households obstructs the child's brain's ability to learn for the first hours of school.
Use a "Walking Backwards" tool to see what time you really have to get out of bed in order for your child to never be tardy for school. (Tardiness has been associated with bad behavior, poor test scores and achievement no matter how intelligent your child is.)
The "launching pad" to hold all the papers, books, back packs, and shoes to prevent the "Where could it be" syndrome, the anger this causes, and the greater possibility of tardiness.
Utilize your faith practices to maintain calmness and loving guidance each morning as you send your child off to school, which increases the ability of your child to learn.
