2022 Baptism Dates

The St. Catherine of Siena Catholic community welcomes you and your child!  If your child is still on his or her way or here already, and is less than 7 years old, this is the place to begin the steps towards Baptism!

Throughout the United States, Catholic churches wish the parents to be prepared for the ongoing task of raising a child in the faith. Baptism preparation classes exist for this purpose. Here are the steps to register for these classes.

• Register to become a member of the parish:  At St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, we first encourage you to be a parish member. In asking to have your child baptized, you are accepting the responsibility of training your child in their lifelong practice of the Catholic faith. By parish membership, you will be able to access the religious education and the support you may need to fulfill that desire.  You can complete your parish registration online, pick up a form at a weekend Mass or from the church office during regular office hours, or download a parish registration form.

• Complete Online Baptism Registration to register for the Baptism and the Baptism Preparation Classes. This form must be completed and submitted along with a state-issued birth certificate before a Baptismal certificate can be issued.  Baptisms will not be scheduled until this birth certificate is brought to class or the parish office.

• Complete the Baptismal preparation classes, which are offered as a two-part series:      1) Watch online video sessions on your own and 2) Attend an online class with our Adult Faith Formation Director held on a scheduled Saturday morning from 10a.m. - Noon.  In two-parent families, both parents are expected to participate. If you can provide proof of attendance at a Baptismal Preparation Program (certificate or letter of completion) completed at this or another Catholic parish within the last three years, you will be exempt from the online Baptism classes. 

• Godparent Information.  Read the Godparent information page to register a Godparent for a class or to read what to do if your Godparent cannot complete the preparation class through St. Catherine of Siena church. If your child is to be baptized at St. Catherine’s parish or at any parish in the Diocese of Austin, each Godparent must complete the Covenant Form.  Please turn that during the series or before. 

The Rite of Infant Baptism is scheduled on Saturday mornings
at 10:30 AM on the dates as shown in the form linked below.
Parents and Godparents should be in the Narthex of the Church NO LATER THAN 10:15 AM
