Responding to the Philadelphia Report

It has been very difficult to learn of the findings of the Pennsylvania grand jury report as well as the stories about Theodore McCarrick. All of the priests at St. Catherine’s addressed the issue from the pulpit on the weekend of August 25 and 26. Fr. Pat’s homily can be viewed through our Facebook page. All three homilies - Fr. Bishop McCarthy dies at 88

It is with great sadness that we announce Bishop John E. McCarthy, third bishop of Austin, died Aug. 18 at his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Thursday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Public viewing, St. Mary Cathedral, Thursday, Aug. 23, 7 p.m.: Vigil, St. William Parish in Round Rock, Bishop Joe Vásquez officiating.
