On Sat., Aug. 14, Fr. Pat Coakley presented the 2021 Lumen Gentium Award to Christina Wagner. She has been a longtime core member of our Art & Environment Committee. Over the years, she has designed and created many of the items that beautify our sanctuary through the seasons of the liturgical year. She has brought many ideas to life for the parish, and we are very grateful.
Registration is now open! This year we plan to offer three different programs: Weekly, Monthly Family Faith, and Family-Based At-Home. Registration is available online. Also, we are still looking for parishioners and parents to serve as catechists, please prayerfully consider joining this ministry. It takes a whole parish to form a new generation of Catholics!
We have reached Stage 5 level of risk for COVID. Hospitalizations are climbing daily and rapidly. For these reasons, we strongly recommend and expect that every person above the age of 5 will wear a mask covering their nose and mouth. While the nursery remains closed, the Café is open and available for families with young children. Johnson Hall also remains available for everyone desiring greater social distancing. The health of this beloved community remains everyone’s responsibility.
As our local schools prepare to resume classes, we will have a special drive-through blessing & prayer for all students! Join us on Tues., Aug. 10, between 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the East Entry circle. One of the priests will be standing ready to greet you at the curb. Drive up, roll down your window(s) and hold up your backpack(s) for a blessing. It’s the best thing you can do to get ready for a new year of learning!
