Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person assistance to our brothers and sisters in need who call the SVDP helpline—by praying with them, listening to their needs and offering help to them in prescribed ways.
The St. Catherine of Siena Parish Chapter of SVDP meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Members usually serve 2-4 evenings per month. New members are paired with experienced members. If you have a calling to the corporal works of mercy and wish to learn more about this society, call (512) 550-1560 and leave a message. The Friends of the Poor Walk Raised $12,395!
On Saturday, October 7, 2023, the Friends of the Poor Walk was held at Dick Nichols Park. Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners and supporters, we raised a total of $12,395! Victor's Team raised $5,975, St. Catherine's Team raised $3,299, and $3,121 was raised through online donations and cash donations during the campaign.
The St. Catherine's Conference of St. Vincent de Paul is truly grateful for this outpouring of support for such a worthy cause. We were all thrilled to be joined by so many parishioners on the day of the walk! Special thanks to CraigO's, who provided catering for the event and gift cards for participants. Thank you for your generosity!
