The Souper Bowl of Caring takes place on or around the Super Bowl every year. Middle school students (and their families) can participate at their regular Sunday Mass. Using our specially decorated soup pots, they collect donations outside of Mass to help fight hunger and poverty in our area.
Here's their Mission Statement:
Using the energy of the Super Bowl to mobilize youth in a united national effort to care for people in their local communities who are hungry and those in need.
Here's their Vision Statement:
Transform the time around the Super Bowl into the nation's largest celebration of giving and serving.
Souper Bowl of Caring 2022, Feb. 12-13
If one of your family's New Year's resolutions was to get more involved in helping others, we have your chance! Super Bowl Sunday is also the day of Souper Bowl of Caring (Tackle Hunger - Home of the Souper Bowl of Caring). All over the country, organizations collect money and food to help alleviate hunger in their communities. Every year, St. Catherine's Youth participates and have chosen to help Foundation Communities. They will collect donations of money and food after the weekend Masses on Feb. 12 & 13. For more information on participating, contact Livia Telles-Rodriguez at livia.telles-rodriguez@stcatherine-austin.org.
