Classes began on Sept. 13. Please download and follow the calendar above for class dates.
This year our Tuesday program will be a weekly Family Faith Co-op. The Catholic Church teaches and believes that parents are the first catechists of their children, the first to teach them the faith. Family Faith Formation is central to our parish community here at St. Catherine's, and this year we will build on that commitment with our weekly program. As families register for a time on Tuesdays, we will work together with the parents as a faith community to decide who will teach and how all parents will come together to provide the Faith Formation for their children. All parents will have a part and an opportunity to teach or assist.
Registration is now available for the 2022 - 23 Faith Formation year using the menu tab to the left under Weekly Family Faith Co-Op.

Hello! Below you will find information regarding our Tuesday weekly Family Faith Co-op program for children in Pre-K through Grade 5.
Parent Requirements: Please note that we require parent involvement from EACH family during the year. For most classes, this will mean that one of the two adults in each class will be a rotating parent. The lead catechist will provide a sign-up sheet and parents will be able to choose the dates of the classes they will help in.
FAQ by Parents:
Why do I need to volunteer at all?
We ask parents to volunteer for two reasons. First, a practical one. The Diocese of Austin requires that there be 2 adults present in a classroom at all times. This is for the safety and security of both the children and the adults. Put simply, if we do not have 2 adults, we will not hold class.
The second reason we ask parents to volunteer is a pastoral one. The easiest and best way for parents to show their children the importance of our Catholic faith is to participate in it. We are the church. When you help with your child's class, not only are you modeling life long faith formation, but you will also be able to talk about what happened in class that day, and even extend the conversation at home. You can accompany your child on his or her journey of faith.
How often will I need to volunteer?
This depends on the class size. Class sizes vary between 6 to 12 children. In classes with more children, there will be more families who can volunteer so the number of volunteer times will be less. Also, the opposite is true. In smaller classes, parents will need to volunteer more often.
